So how did we get started teaching fundraising classes?
When I (Kelly) started my business I never thought I would ever teach charcuterie classes, none the less classes for a fundraiser. After a few smaller classes under my belt I began to teach team building classes for corporate clients. Someone in one of my team building classes asked if I teach fundraiser classes. I hadn’t, but as most entrepreneurs would say, “let’s do it!”
I am so thankful this client of mine asked this question because now it is a part of my business that I really enjoy! Fundraising for nonprofits, church ministries, and schools is something I am honored to do and exciting when my business gets to be a part of something to practice generosity.
We all remember growing up fundraising for something! For me I remember selling spaghetti dinner tickets for my elementary school and the students who sold the most tickets got to ride in a limoscene! I was very motivated to sell as many tickets as I possibly could! There is always motivation to raise funds for something when you get to do something neat. I just happen to think the adult equivalent of riding in a limo has got to be taking a charcuterie class! :)
